Polystyrene itself does not mind damp, but yarn soaks up rain, stays wet and can fade in strong sun, so a wrapped or crocheted wreath is happiest on an inside door, a covered porch or a wall. On a door exposed to weather, use a synthetic yarn and bring the wreath in during wet spells.
